Podium Pavement Works · North Houston TX
High-visibility painting for parking lot bollards and car stops across North Houston. Yellow, white, and stripe patterns for wheel stops and bollards. We paint them, we do not install them.
Bollards are the short posts that protect storefronts, utility equipment, and pedestrian areas from vehicle impact. Car stops (also called wheel stops or parking blocks) are the concrete or rubber barriers at the front of parking stalls that prevent vehicles from rolling into sidewalks, landscaping, or building facades. Both need high-visibility paint to do their job, an unmarked bollard at night is a collision risk, and an unpainted car stop can be invisible until a driver is already over it.
We paint bollards and car stops. We do not install them, remove them, or do any foundation or anchoring work. If you need bollards or car stops physically placed or removed, that is a contractor’s job. When they are already on-site and need paint, or need a fresh coat, that is ours. This is a common add-on to a full lot restripe, and we can handle it in the same visit.
We count bollards and car stops, note current paint condition, and confirm the color pattern. You get a free written quote before we leave.
We brush off loose paint and debris from each unit. We do not do any anchoring, leveling, or structural work on bollards or car stops.
We apply commercial-grade latex. Bollards typically get full yellow or white coverage; car stops often get yellow ends and a yellow/black diagonal-stripe pattern on the visible faces. Most jobs are complete in a single visit.
We photograph all painted units and walk through the job with you before leaving.
We’ll walk your lot and give you a free written estimate, no fee, no obligation. If it’s worth your time to call, it’s worth our time to come out.
We carry general liability insurance and run early-morning, after-hours, and weekend jobs to keep your lot open during business hours.
Fire lanes, ADA accessible stalls, ISA stencils, and access-aisle hash-lines done to local fire-code and Texas Accessibility Standards, not generic guesses.
Our quotes break out code-required work from cosmetic work in writing, so you know exactly what you’re paying for before we start.
Bollard and car stop installation is regulated by local building codes, ADA accessible route requirements, and sometimes specific fire code provisions for bollards near fire apparatus access routes. Where bollards border an accessible route, ADA requires a minimum 36-inch clear width between them to maintain the accessible path. We confirm that our painting work does not affect the accessible route clearance. We do not install or relocate bollards or car stops, that work requires a contractor with the appropriate scope. Our scope is painting only: we apply the high-visibility coating once the units are physically in place.
We cover seven Texas counties: Montgomery, Harris, Fort Bend, Walker, Waller, Liberty, and Brazos. Jobs run throughout the region, from The Woodlands south to Houston, from Katy east to Kingwood and Cleveland.
Price depends on your lot’s specific conditions. Below are the main factors that affect the quote. We don’t publish flat rates because every job is different, a free written estimate is the only way to get an accurate number.
No. We paint bollards and car stops that are already in place. Installation, removal, and any anchoring or foundation work are outside our scope. If you need units physically placed or removed, you’ll need a separate contractor for that part of the job before we come in to paint.
High-visibility yellow is the most common choice for parking lot bollards because it stands out against asphalt and concrete. White is used where a cleaner aesthetic is preferred. Some bollards near fire lanes or emergency exits get a yellow/black stripe pattern for maximum visibility. We can match any color you need.
In Texas conditions, commercial latex on concrete bollards and car stops typically lasts 2 to 4 years. Units in high-traffic areas, near drive lanes, or in direct sun fade faster. We note the current condition during the site visit and can advise on expected touch-up intervals.
Cost depends on the unit count, current paint condition, and whether you want a solid color or a stripe pattern. We provide free written estimates after walking the property and counting every unit.
We provide a written quote before work starts, photograph every unit after painting, and can combine the job with a full lot restripe in the same visit. We bring all materials on-site so there are no return trips for forgotten supplies.
We use commercial-grade waterborne latex suitable for concrete and masonry. It holds up well in Texas heat and UV. We do not use oil-based alkyd on bollards or car stops due to its longer dry time in Texas temperatures.
